The embedded patinated decorative panels on the LOFT FRENCH DECOR GOLDEN EDITION SLIDING DOORS are a special eye-catcher. We achieved the extraordinary visual effect of the decorative panels through the complex process of natural patination of steel, which was applied in liquid form to wooden surfaces. The resulting asymmetrical and spontaneous shapes were inspired by nature. This gave us a surrealistic combination of interpenetrating opposites. An interplay of nature and industry - this is our interpretation of yin and yang.

The  LOFT FRENCH DECOR GOLDEN EDITION SLIDING DOOR  is a combination of carefully welded steel profiles painted in gold, safety glass and exceptional decorative panels. Together, these elements form an exclusive sliding door design that gives your home a noble character.

With us you have the choice between different types of glass. We only use safety glass! Either in the form of laminated safety glass (clear glass, frosted glass) or as toughened single-pane safety glass (smoked glass, mirror glass, wired glass, corrugated glass). The safety glass used to make our products is very durable and resistant to cracks and damage. The glass pane is inserted between two steel rung frames and screwed firmly to the outer frame with screws. For the stable construction, we use profiles made of 2 mm thick steel of the best quality. The construction of our door leaves and frame allows the pane to be easily replaced using the removable rung body.

• Properties and advantages of composite safety glazing (VSG):
• Composition of the LSG glass:  two individual or several glass panes lying together; special elastic and tear-resistant film between the individual glass panes
• Glass thickness: 7 mm (VSG 3.3.1 – 3 mm glass, 1 mm foil, 3 mm glass)
• Increased soundproofing effect  thanks to the intermediate layers made of plastic film
• High light transmission  (unless the glass has been tinted or colored) 
• Minimized risk of injury if the glass pane breaks:  thanks to its nature and composition, in the event of an impact, the resulting fragments are held together and bound by the incorporated film. The shattered glass pane therefore remains completely in the frame. This prevents the risk of injury or reduces it to an absolute minimum. 
• Properties and advantages of toughened safety glass (ESG):
• Composition of the ESG glass:  a single, specially heat-treated pane
• Increased impact and shock resistance thanks to the thermal prestress (the glass is heated to over 630° and suddenly cooled again. This means that the surface of the glass cools faster than the inner core - tensile stress in the core, compressive stress in the surface)
• Resistant to high temperature differences  – Thanks to the processing process, the ESG can withstand high temperature differences 
• Minimized risk of injury if the glass pane breaks:  thanks to its nature, if the pane breaks , the pane breaks into small fragments with only a very low risk of injury.

Our loft design sliding doors are powder coated, making the surface more resistant to scratches or impacts. The sliding mechanism (if selected) will be coated in the same color you select for your door panel.

• Advantages of powder coating:
• Mechanically resilient:  The powder coating remains dynamic and shows fewer cracks than a normal coating; resistant to scratches and impacts
• Resistant to deformation:  Smaller unevenness in the surface (steel profile) is hidden by the high layer thickness of the powder coating
• Weather-resistant:  the powder coating only hardens completely after several years. Therefore, it only becomes brittle late and can therefore withstand the weather for a very long time.
• Easy to clean:  dirt and grease cannot adhere well to the smooth and even surface.
• Environmentally friendly:  powder coating is processed solvent-free.
• Resistant to:  rot, fungal attack, UV radiation 

The element that defines the DEKOR sliding doors is the decorative panel used

• Features of the decorative panels:
• consisting of an MDF board made from finely ground wood chips pressed under high pressure
• The pattern of your choice is milled into the MDF board. The milled pattern is very complex, which means that no two boards are the same after finishing
• After milling the plates, the liquid metal is applied
• Liquid metal is a finely ground colored metal (copper, bronze or brass). The fine powder is mixed with a special binder and then very carefully applied to the surface of the panels
• After the structure has completely hardened, the surface is processed entirely by hand by manual grinding and polishing
• The finished and polished surface contains approx. 98% pure metal, so it is not an imitation of metal, but real metal!
• After application, the metals undergo an oxidation process (patination).
• Our metals are patinated reactively, accelerating their natural aging process. The patina (patina) forms in its painterly colors on the metal surface. No paints are used to achieve the different colors of the decorative panels. Since this is a natural discoloration, the panels may differ in their color nuances.
• After the desired aging effect has been achieved on the plate surface, the patination process is stopped and the entire plate is protected from further “aging”. A surface protection protects the panels from moisture.
• To clean the panels , they should be sprayed with a furniture cleaner and wiped dry with a cloth. Aggressive chemicals such as acetone and acetone derivatives should not be used for cleaning as this can damage the surface!
• The price of the panels is due in particular to the elaborate manual treatment of the metal surface.

Important instructions

• The width and height of the sliding door refer exclusively to the door leaf!
• The dimensions of the sliding system (see product gallery) must also be taken into account. Be sure to consider your ceiling height when measuring.
• Each door leaf has threads for attaching the roller suspension - no additional holes need to be made on the door leaf.
• The optional extension with closing dampers (soft close) requires a hole in the door leaf. The attachment points must be determined and prepared as required during assembly.
• Screws and dowels for concrete walls are included in the scope of delivery. However, since every wall is individual and different screws and dowels are required for optimal hold, please seek advice from your building supply store to be on the safe side.
• Tools required for assembly are not included in the scope of delivery.
• Our doors are made by hand, so these products may show slight traces of handwork.

Our products are made from recycled or environmentally friendly materials. We particularly process steel and wood.

The most attractive properties of steel are that it can be recycled and reused again and again and, in its given form, has a lifespan of over 100 years without extensive maintenance.

The wood we use comes from European forestry. We have been working with our suppliers for many years, so we have built a solid basis of trust. Responsible, sustainable and environmentally friendly forest management - without overexploitation, clear-cutting and plantation farming - is very important to us.

The powder coatings, waxes, oils, etc. used to coat our products do not contain any risky substances such as solvents and microplastics and are very environmentally friendly and also very sustainable due to their robustness and longevity. The steel surfaces are prepared for powder coating without chrome or heavy metals. The process is wastewater-free due to the multiple use of process water.

In addition, our products are not mass-produced, but are produced exclusively to order, meaning that only as many products are manufactured as are actually needed.
