The massive yet very elegant LOFT FRENCH KNASTI SLIDING DOOR is THE offer for all those who value individuality and want to give their home a special character. The door consists of a closed steel frame. The metal sheets attached on both sides, the visible rivets and the antiqued paint finish of the door underline and emphasize its industrial, sparse character, giving the door a rustic accent to your home. Thanks to its loft-style glazing, however, the door fills your interior with elegant elegance by flooding your rooms with daylight and making your home appear more spacious.

The entire production and composition of all components of our doors are based on the highest European standards. Manufacturing takes place in Europe.

• Outer frame: steel profile 50 x 40 mm
• Rung frame: steel profile 15 x 15 mm

With us you have the choice between different types of glass. We only use safety glass! Either in the form of laminated safety glass or as toughened single-pane safety glass. The safety glass used to make our products is very durable and resistant to cracks and damage. The glass pane is inserted between two steel rung frames and screwed firmly to the outer frame with screws. For the stable construction, we use profiles made of 2 mm thick steel of the best quality. The construction of our door leaves and frame allows the pane to be easily replaced using the removable rung body.

• Properties and advantages of composite safety glazing (VSG):
• Composition of the LSG glass:  two individual or several glass panes lying together; special elastic and tear-resistant film between the individual glass panes
• Glass thickness: 7 mm (VSG 3.3.1 – 3 mm glass, 1 mm foil, 3 mm glass)
• Increased soundproofing effect  thanks to the intermediate layers made of plastic film
• High light transmission  (unless the glass has been tinted or colored) 
• Minimized risk of injury if the glass pane breaks:  thanks to the nature and composition, in the event of an impact, the resulting fragments are held together and bound by the incorporated film. The shattered glass pane therefore remains completely in the frame. This prevents the risk of injury or reduces it to an absolute minimum. 
• Properties and advantages of toughened safety glass (ESG):
• Composition of the ESG glass:  a single, specially heat-treated pane
• Increased impact and shock resistance thanks to the thermal prestress (the glass is heated to over 630° and suddenly cooled again. This means that the surface of the glass cools faster than the inner core - tensile stress in the core, compressive stress in the surface)
• Resistant to high temperature differences  – Thanks to the processing process, the ESG can withstand high temperature differences 
• Minimized risk of injury if the glass pane breaks:  thanks to its nature, if the pane breaks , the pane breaks into small fragments with only a very low risk of injury.

The steel door frame is equipped with a high-quality rebate seal from the Q-Lon brand

• Material composition of the fold seal: PE film, PU foam, PP carrier (glass fiber thread)
• Extremely high resilience:  the seal always returns to its original shape
• No expansion of the seal, thanks to the rigid PP fiberglass insert
• Very low compression forces and unaffected by temperature fluctuations thanks to the first-class compression properties
• Noise reduction and outstanding acoustic properties
• Insensitive to contamination
• Resistant to rot, fungus, UV light and ozone

Important instructions

• The width and height of the sliding door refer exclusively to the door leaf!
• The dimensions of the sliding system (see product gallery) must also be taken into account. Be sure to consider your ceiling height when measuring.
• Each door leaf has threads for attaching the roller suspension - no additional holes need to be made on the door leaf.
• The optional extension with closing dampers (soft close) requires a hole in the door leaf. The attachment points must be determined and prepared as required during assembly.
• Screws and dowels for concrete walls are included in the scope of delivery. However, since every wall is individual and different screws and dowels are required for optimal hold, please seek advice from your building supply store to be on the safe side.
• Tools required for assembly are not included in the scope of delivery.
• Our doors are made by hand, so these products may show slight traces of handwork.

Our products are made from recycled or environmentally friendly materials. We particularly process steel and wood.

The most attractive properties of steel are that it can be recycled and reused again and again and, in its given form, has a lifespan of over 100 years without extensive maintenance.

The wood we use comes from European forestry. We have been working with our suppliers for many years, so we have built a solid basis of trust. Responsible, sustainable and environmentally friendly forest management - without overexploitation, clear-cutting and plantation farming - is very important to us.

The powder coatings, waxes, oils, etc. used to coat our products do not contain any risky substances such as solvents and microplastics and are very environmentally friendly and also very sustainable due to their robustness and longevity. The steel surfaces are prepared for powder coating without chrome or heavy metals. The process is wastewater-free due to the multiple use of process water.

In addition, our products are not mass-produced, but are produced exclusively to order, meaning that only as many products are manufactured as are actually needed.
